JoCo Bar and the Association of Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City (AWL) are jointly hosting a ‘We’re Giving Back’ event, which will benefit the charity Unexpected Blooms. Join us for drinks and appetizers and bring your donations which will benefit this local 501c3 and their mission.
Unexpected Blooms is a flower recycling, impact making and smile providing nonprofit 501(c)(3). We are committed to improving the mental and emotional health of our community members and caring for our environment.
Every bouquet is an act of love by a host of generous people. Gently used flowers are donated from weddings, memorials, special events, florists, and grocery stores. Volunteers cut, refresh and design beautiful arrangements. Then volunteers deliver flowers
throughout our community to those in hospice, healthcare, and senior facilities.
A simple act of compassion can have a profound impact on anyone—especially someone struggling with health challenges, disability, or loneliness. With help from caring people like you, Unexpected Blooms delivers repurposed flowers to individuals living in hospice, healthcare, and senior communities. The flowers bring joy to the recipient—and brighten everyone’s day. Kindness is, after all, contagious
