The successful candidate will represent the City in municipal court proceedings, conduct trials and appeals, provide legal research and analysis, assist with ordinance revisions, and collaborate with law enforcement, court personnel, and other City departments.

Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree required.
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Kansas and federal court.
- Three or more years of increasingly responsible experience in municipal court and criminal law, including trial experience.
- Strong legal research, courtroom advocacy, and case management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the City in municipal court proceedings, trials, appeals, and administrative hearings.
- Prepare and prosecute municipal court cases.
- Conduct legal research and provide legal analysis on municipal issues.
- Draft legal documents, briefs, and motions.
- Assist with ordinance revisions and policy matters.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, Court Services Officers, and City staff.
